Our Partnership with McDonald’s

Since helping to launch the first Ronald McDonald House in 1974 with the proceeds from the Shamrock Shake, McDonald’s has played a vital role in the growth and continued success of Ronald McDonald Houses around the world.

Locally, the McDonald’s Owner/Operators of the Three Rivers Co-Op — representing over 200 regional McDonald’s stores – have been collaborating with Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Morgantown to bring comfort to families traveling to the area for their child’s medical care. As a founding partner, the Co-Op Owner Operators have been supporting the Charity’s mission for over 45 years by:

  • Serving on the Charity Board of Directors and event committees
  • Organizing and promoting local promotional and fundraising events
  • Donating directly to the Charity through fundraising campaigns, Charity sponsorships, in-kind donations, and personal donations

Every time you visit a local participating McDonald’s restaurant you support Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Morgantown by:

  • Purchasing a Happy Meal
  • Rounding-Up your order in person at the counter, at the kiosk or by using the McDonald’s App.

Our partnership with McDonald’s is strong but no one organization or individual alone can fund our operating budget so we rely on a diverse pool of supporters, friends, and resources to impact countless lives every year.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of committed partners like McDonald’s. Their generosity given through time, resources and advocacy has helped provide families a safe and supportive community near their sick child for over four decades.” – Eleanor Reigel, CEO Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Morgantown
